Today I am going to keep things simple.
One of the questions I get asked the most is "What height should I hang a picture?"
This is also one of the first things I notice when working with design clients, hanging pictures too high is common.
Obviously it is not an exact science, but I like typcially tell my clients to hang the center of their pictures between 56"- 58" off the floor, regardless of the ceiling height.
If you have a single row of pictures, simply center the picture 56"- 58" off the floor.
If you are working with a grouping, hang the center of the grouping 56" - 58" off the floor.
And you can even get away with hanging pictures all the way to the ceiling as long as they are eveloped in a gallery wall.
If you happen to have your pictures hung to high, the good news is...it is an easy fix!
I know we have talked about how to hang curtains before, but I always get a lot questions regarding the exact placement of the rod. I think I'll tackle that next.
Do you have any design questions you would like answered?
xo,
